A Hidden Gem with Impeccable Service!

Enjoyed a delightful stay with my partner for two nights. The homemade biscuits upon arrival were a sweet surprise. Room equipped with an amazing shower. Be sure to pre-order breakfast. the variety is remarkable! Angus and Sherry provide outstanding hospitality.

The location was exceptional, with everything in walking distance and convenient parking nearby. The room was well-kept, offering ample storage with a large, comfortable bed and cozy bedding. Unfortunately, the noise from the main road was distracting, and the check-in experience felt a bit impersonal, lacking warmth and engagement. While breakfast was enjoyable, a more welcoming atmosphere could enhance the overall experience.

Impressive cleanliness and upkeep.

The bathroom was unreasonably small and cramped, making it difficult to use comfortably. There was a notable lack of space, which made our stay physically uncomfortable. the host's rudeness and unprofessional behavior regarding check-in timing was completely unacceptable—it felt intrusive and stressful.

fab location right in centre short walk to all ameneties. lovely and clean, breakfast was great, room was ground floor which was gr8! ! angus and sherry have thought of everything you may need, even ur doggy is looked after with bedding blankets etc. fridge with snacks and fresh milk was a nice touch.

i slept badly due to outside noise, and the bathroom was small and hard to use.

will definitely go back there again

The room was on the ground floor with a four-poster bed, had a private bathroom, and a fridge stocked with snacks & fresh milk. Breakfast was ordered in advance and featured locally sourced ingredients cooked fresh. The lounge had complimentary sherry and homemade biscuits, creating a cozy atmosphere. Excellent location just a two-minute walk from the lake.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed a lovely cruise on Lake Windermere followed by a visit to the steam railway at Lakeside. The place is a quick 3-minute walk to the lake, and the breakfast selection was impressive. Plus, the homemade biscuits and sherry in the lounge were a nice touch!

The shower was a bit complicated to figure out, but it did provide a powerful experience once we got it working.

I had a wonderful stay for 1 night in the Double Room. The breakfast was freshly prepared with a variety of options, including perfectly cooked eggs Benedict. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. the bathroom was a bit small for my preference.

The homemade treats and attention to detail were a delightful surprise! 🥰 The location was perfect for exploring and the room was so comfortable. Just wish there was more parking nearby.

We had a fantastic stay and loved the cozy decor and delicious breakfast options every morning. Relaxing in the shared lounge with complimentary sherry was a treat, and the lovely hot shower made our evenings extra comfy. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi was a bit sluggish sometimes, but it didn't ruin our experience at all! 😊

The hosts, Angus and Sherry, were exceptional, treating us like family and providing a delicious breakfast every morning with plenty of options for the kids.

There isn’t parking at the property.

I found the rooms at Virginia Cottage Guest House beautifully decorated, clean, and easily accessible for those with mobility concerns. The hosts were incredibly warm and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable for my friends and me.

A little more soundproofing would be appreciated.
